1st Day: We are en route to New York City (the Big Apple). Depending on traffic and weather, we should arrive mid-evening (approximately 7 - 8pm). After checking into the historic Hotel Edison, located at 228 W 47th St., you are free to explore the area on your own - or enjoy a relaxing evening in the hotel.
2nd Day: Today we have a guided tour of the Big Apple. Sights you will see on this bus tour are: Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Battery Park, Empire State Building, Top of the Rock Observation Deck, Times Square, and much, much more. You’ll cover the major attractions which make up the greatest city in the world. The tour will end around 3:00 pm, and then we have tickets to see the famous high-stepping Rockettes doing their fabulous Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. The performance should end approximately 6:00 pm. The remainder of the evening is free for you to do as you please in the area.
3rd Day: Depart the hotel and catch the ferry over to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. On Liberty Island, you will have access to the Statue of Liberty National Monument’s Statue of Liberty Museum. In addition to the Statue itself, the grounds of Liberty Island give you incredible views of Manhattan. Take pictures, read the plaques throughout the island, and take in the rich history of this amazing monument. On Ellis Island, be sure to visit the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration where you’ll find artifacts and passenger records telling the story of US immigration. You will have lunch on your own in the area, either at one of the cafes on Ellis or Liberty Island, or after returning to Battery Park where you can eat at one of the many restaurants in the area. The motorcoach will transport the group back to the Times Square area in the afternoon and you will have the remainder of the day to do as you wish. Please note: Pedestal and Crown tickets are not available to groups; our visit is limited to the ferry, both islands, and both museums.
4th Day: Depart the hotel for the return trip. Thus, ending an exciting tour of the Big Apple. Arrival home is approximately 8:30 PM.
